This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced carbine shooter who is looking to expand their carbine handling skills in a tactical environment.
During this course, students will be taught how to move, load, reload, acquire targets and use cover in a tactical environment. Students will also be shown how to properly use a sling and how to arrange their gear in order to maximize its effectiveness. Discussions will also be held in the areas of weapon and equipment selection and how this effects the efficiency of the shooter. Students will also be taught how to smoothly transition from a carbine to a handgun if the situation dictates.
Students are responsible for both eye and ear protection, ammunition and carbine. A hat, long sleeve shirt, and jeans are highly recommended. Students should also bring their own hydration as the pace of the class and location will dictate the frequency of breaks. Students are encouraged to bring their own magazine pouches and holsters.
Students are encouraged to bring a handgun and holster. Students should also bring any web gear/magazine pouches in order to maximize their benefits from the class.
In order to minimize risk of injury and damage to the facility, it is mandatory that all ammunition be frangible.
Because of range limitations, maximum caliber is 5.56mm. Please call if you want to use a larger caliber as other range arrangements can be made.
Weapons can be provided to the student for the duration of the class for 25 dollars. (Must be scheduled prior to the class.)
Recommended ammunition count for this class is 400 rounds of carbine ammunition. If students are bringing a handgun they should also have about 100 rounds of handgun ammunition.
Unless specified, all range fees are to be paid by the student.
Group rates are available.
