Our stress free 16 hour PALS and BLS refresher combo program is designed for the participant to recognize and manage potentially life threatening situations in the pediatric patient. Through the use of case based scenarios and interactive skills stations, participants will receive instruction in the recognition and management of basic life support (BLS), respiratory arrest, shock, EKG interpretation, airway management, vascular access, trauma, and pharmacology for the infant and child. PALS emphasizes the systematic approach to assessing the ill pediatric patient and the integration of effective BLS with corresponding PALS interventions. After successful completion of the course, the participant will receive an AHA PALS card good for two years.
This includes a 4 hour AHA BLS refresher course which covers one and two rescuer adult, child, infant CPR, and choking procedures. We also cover the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) and adjunct airway devices for basic airway management. After successful completion of the course the participant will receive an AHA BLS Healthcare Provider card good for two years.
